performs after cataract yag laser treatment and is proficient in
treatment of various eye disorders. In most cases you will see

With the talents of Dr. Suzette Blahnik, Dr. Greg Blahnik, and Dr.
Gregory T Kipp, We were able to open Vision One eye and contact lens
center in Port Orange, in 1998. This office combined state of the
art technology with a friendly staff to make visits as enjoyable as
a visit to the doctor could be. Eye health can be assessed with a
visual field analyzer, a corneal topographer, a Vcom digital camera,
or an FDT field machine, to give the most thorough examination
possible. The optical has a large selection of frames from designer
works of art and budget frames that just make you look like a
million dollars. The in house surfacing lab can make almost any
prescription in an hour. The staff is well trained and caring and do
their best to make the patients happy.
In 1999 we aquired the Neumann Eye Institute, renaming it Vision One
and opening Central Florida Cataract and Laser Surgery Center which
are now able to bring to the patient a full range of medical and
surgical services. Dr. Haynes worked for Dr. Neumann for ten years
serving a clinic director and it became apparent after caring for
the patients in the wake of Dr. Neumann’s death that the
responsibility for these paitent’s care rested with him. This
practice will continue the commitment to excellence that Dr. Neumann
embodied. The clinic combines the advanced technology typical of a
university medical center, with the sensitive and sincere on-on-one
personal concern characteristic of a hometown medical practice.
Routine eye health examinations as well as management of eye
conditions and diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration,
cataracts, diabetic retinopathy are the primary capabilities of this
office. With the addition of Dr. Martin Pourkesali, D.O. the
eyes-only surgical facility at the Deland office, designed to meet
the specialized needs of ophthalmic patients again services the
surgical needs of patients with cataracts, glaucoma, also
nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism through LASIK. In
the past year we have opened offices in Daytona Beach to better
serve the community.

Laser vision correction is now in its second decade of helping
patients reduce or eliminate their dependence on glasses and contact
lenses. As testimony to its life changing benefits, thousands of
ophthalmologists and optometrists around the world have become so
impressed with the results of laser vision correction that over one
million procedures are now performed each year. At Kantor Eye
Institute & Laser Center our Sarasota laser vision correction
patients continuously tell us they appreciate our commitment to
being on the cutting edge of this exciting technology.
Heavy patient demand for laser vision correction has inspired
surgeons and laser manufacturers to make tremendous advancements in
both Excimer laser technology and surgical technique. When laser
vision correction was first performed in 1988, only low to
moderately nearsighted patients without astigmatism could be
treated. Today, with the second and third generation Excimer lasers,
very low to moderately high degrees of nearsightedness,
farsightedness and astigmatism can be effectively treated. And for
many patients that had large pupils, thin corneas or other
contraindications for laser vision correction, newer surgical
techniques now allow them to enjoy the benefits of clear vision
without dependence on glasses and contact lenses. Only a few years
ago these patients would not have been good candidates for laser
vision treatment.
One of the most popular ways to correct vision is with a procedure
called LASIK (laser in-situ keratomileusis), which uses a laser to
change the curvature of the cornea (outer window of the eye). LASIK
has quickly become the procedure of choice for most patients because
they recover quickly and have fewer side effects and complications
than with other methods of vision correction. In fact, most LASIK
patients notice a significant improvement in their vision soon after
surgery. LASIK removes tissue within the cornea to treat low to high
levels of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism.
